Abstract

This study presents an IoT-Based Fleet Monitoring System with Driver Logging and OBD-II Diagnostics developed for Amazing Bless Tourist Transport Services (ABTTS). The system integrates GPS, OBD-II telemetry, and cloud-based dashboards to enhance visibility, maintenance, and operational decision-making for small and medium-sized transport enterprises. A mixed-formative evaluation approach, guided by the V-Model SDLC, combined expert review, user surveys, and quantitative fleet key performance indicators (KPIs). Results across ten vehicles demonstrated measurable improvements: fleet utilization increased from 76.0% to 85.3% (+12.2 pts), downtime decreased from 24.0% to 14.7% (−9.3 pts), and fuel efficiency improved by 5.3%. The system employs AES-256 encryption, OAuth 2.0 authentication, and HTTPS/TLS transmission in compliance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act (2012). These findings confirm that IoT-enabled fleet telemetry enhances coordination, reliability, and resource efficiency in SME transport operations, providing a scalable model for intelligent transportation systems.
