Abstract
The phenomenon of unemployment for graduates of diploma I/II/III and scholars has increased in 2018 and 2019 when compared to 2017. One way to reduce unemployment is to develop entrepreneurial spirit among college students. The UTM Agribusiness Study Program curriculum contains entrepreneurship courses and other supporting entrepreneurship courses, this Prodi graduate profile is also one of the agribusiness entrepreneurs. However, based on the results of the 2019 tracer study, they stated that after graduating, they chose to apply for a job as much as 95% and 5% chose not to look for work because they continued their studies. The purpose of this study is to: determine the level of motivation and interest of students towards work as an entrepreneur, know and analyze the influence of student motivation on work interests as an entrepreneur. The number of samples studied was 60 respondents with a simple random sampling technique. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression. The results showed the level of motivation and interest of agribusiness students towards work as entrepreneurs included in the high category. Motivational variables that significantly influence: variables of work freedom, entrepreneurship education and family environment. Suggestions to increase the motivation of agribusiness students towards their interests as entrepreneurs can be done by holding seminars and entrepreneurship trainings that are continuous and for students' parents to always support their children's decisions in choosing a career as an entrepreneur.
