ECG Classification Using CNN

Abstract

One of the most common diseases in this world is Myocardial Infarction(MI), additionally referred to as heart attack. ECG stands for electrocardiogram. When a heart attack occurs, the functioning of blood will stop flowing. The heart cannot obtain oxygen if the blood flow stops. The cardiac muscle will die if not treated quickly; even if you undergo prompt treatment, you may have a chance to avoid or limit cardiac muscle damage. ECG is the best way to study heart structure and its functions. Whenever a heart attack is suspected, doctors refer for an ECG test. It is low cost and gives accurate results, whereas analyzing raw digital signals is a very time taking process and difficult to understand humans. Instead of that, we took ECG report images using CNN classification. This project uses ECG data and automates the interpretation of ECG patterns.
