Abstract

Discusses the reasons for the apparent reluctance to set up separate formal courses on translation theory, citing the difficulties involved in getting appropriate materials and devising the appropriate methods. For the syllabus designer, proposes a course outline that specifies course objectives, discusses selection and sequencing of topics, and analyzes teaching strategies. (MES)
