Abstract

This study simultaneously investigates both the carrier dynamics and the magneto-optical properties of Cd1-xMnxS quantum dots (QDs) and their corresponding bulk-like nanocrystal (NC) when both are embedded in the same host material. The synthesis of Cd1-xMnxS nanoparticles (NP) in a glass matrix was presented. The properties of Cd1-xMnxS NPs were investigated using optical absorption (OA), photoluminescence (PL), magnetic circularly polarized photoluminescence (MCPL) spectra, and magnetic force microscopy (MFM).
