Abstract

In this corrigendum, we present the analytic corrections to the paper Hossein-Nejad and Scholes 2010 New J. Phys. 12 065045. Due to a mathematical error in the computation of the oscillator traces, the conclusions of that paper with regards to dynamics of an interacting dimer are incorrect. In this corrigendum we provide analytic expressions for the quantity of interest in Hossein-Nejad and Scholes (2010): the reduced density matrix of a weakly coupled dimer that interacts with a high frequency oscillator mode. Our result is valid for system-oscillator coupling that is smaller than the oscillator frequency, and can readily be generalized to multiple oscillator modes. © 2014 IOP Publishing and Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft.
