Abstract

Introduction of the article 118a in the Criminal Code of the Republic of Serbia is just the beginning of a thorny road in order to penalize domestic violence. Domestic violence existed at all times, in various forms, and it was always tolerated. Domestic violence should be stopped for several reasons, among which two are basic: domestic violence affects not only family but society as well, and because of the fact that large number of victims of domestic violence become abusers.U vodjenjem clana 118-a u Krivicni zakon Srbije zapocet je trnovit put ka sankcionisanju nasilja u porodici. Drugi, jer zrtve porodicnog nasilja u velikom broju slucajeva postaju nasilnici.
