Abstract

The dream makes people work hard to achieve it. The drama script of Secangkir Teh was chosen because it had never been staged. This becomes an opportunity for writers as the director to perform the script in the form of musical drama for the first time. The reason for choosing the form of musical drama is because it has a complex element as a show. The complexity of musical drama is in the greater portion of singing and acting. The formulation of this creation is how the process of directing Secangkir Teh by Romualdo Situmorang with the form of musical drama. The direction of musical dramas Secangkir Teh uses three methods that include discuss the script, basic theater exercises, and singing exercises. Based on the method, the musical performances of Secangkir Teh run smoothly, maximally, and get the enthusiasm of the audience.
