Abstract

The relative and absolute configurations of naphthomycin A were elucidated by an X-ray structural analysis of a methylation product, 25-O-methyInaphthomycin A iminomethyl ether. The absolute configuration was confirmed by degradation (03, NaBH4) to (5)-butane-l,2,4-triol. © 1984, JAPAN ANTIBIOTICS RESEARCH ASSOCIATION. All rights reserved.
