Dampak Pandemi Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) Terhadap Tingkat Kriminalitas Di Kabupaten Ciamis

Abstract

Crime is a problem faced by every country, including Indonesia. Crime is one of the problems that is focused on the police for the sake of creating security and comfort in the community. At the end of 2019 there was Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19). The virus has an impact on the community's economy, including the legal aspect. The legal aspect that is in the spotlight is the crime rate in an area due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the data obtained, the Ciamis Police revealed that a number of cases during the Covid-9 pandemic were declared volatile. That starting from March there were 21 reports of criminal acts received by the Polres and Polsek, in April there was a decrease in the number of cases to 16 cases, but until the end of 2020 it turned out that the crime rate in the Ciamis Legal Area had increased with different cases.
