Anxiety disorders in the context of the covid-19 pandemic

Abstract

The lecture presents the characteristics of anxiety disorders from the standpoint of etiopathogenesis, classification, clinical features, pathomorphosis. The prerequisites for the formation of anxiety disorders and the peculiarity of their manifestation in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic are shown. The relevance of timely detection and treatment of anxiety disorders in the situation of an epidemic of coronavirus infection is substantiated. It shows the need for a comprehensive approach to the anxiety disorders treatment, which includes wide range of psychotherapy and social rehabilitation measures and fullfledged pharmacotherapy, as well as specificity of their implementation in the context of an epidemic.
