Abstract

In the UK, Defence Technology Enterprises was set up in 1985 to enable the transfer of technology from the Ministry of Defence Research Establishments to the civilian sector. It was not very successful because of the innate difficulties of such a transfer, and the reluctance of British industry to make the investment. © Beech Tree Publishing 1992.
