Abstract

This paper shows how to extract kinetic rate equations from experiments which use a batch of solids and a batch of gas in catalytic systems of deactivating solid catalyst. A new experimental method, the batch of solids/sequential batch of gas experiment, is developed. This method has great flexibility, allowing many kinetic forms to be tested, and is useful for both rapidly and slowly deactivating catalysts. © 1983.
