Abstract

Excised segments of fronds of Dictyota dichotoma (Huds.) Lamour. show a marked basipetal increase in rhizoid production when grown in culture. Rhizoid production is inhibited by bright light and apparently enhanced by red light (A 600-690 mju). © 1970 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
