Cinema authorizes multiple ways of representing and interpreting reality. Besides allowing aesthetic fruition, it also means an opportunity to think and reflect on the real world. From an educational point of view, it is a relevant source for developing critical, aesthetic and creative skills, as well as contributing to the acquisition of curricular and vital knowledge and capacities. From a social perspective, it contributes to the discussion of perspectives, ideals and behaviours, fostering the belonging or differentiation between individuals, groups and communities. Thus, cinema becomes an essential actor and agent in the negotiations between human beings and their world, allowing dialogues, expressions and experiments of reality that nurture progress, change and reflection on who we are, where we came from and where we are going.
