Abstract

The metabolic hormone leptin influences feeding and metabolism through action on a distributed brain network. In this issue, Leinninger et al. (2009) describe a novel lateral hypothalamic neuronal population that is responsive to leptin and interfaces with dopamine circuits. © 2009 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
