The discovery of the impression of the ventral side of Eopelobates anthracinus Parker, 1929, holotype.

Abstract

In the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universitat of Bonn, FRG, the ventral counter-impression of the holotype of Eopelobates anthracinus Parker, 1929 was found. This enabled us to complete the desciption of the whole specimen, as well as to give full diagnosis of the genus and species. Some doubts are expressed concerning the validity of Eopelobates bayeri as an independent species.-Authors
