Abstract

Use of electrocoagulation (EC) in surgery is not new [1] but in many countries it has unfortunately fallen into ill-deserved oblivion. Since 1932 tens of thousands of patients with various disorders have been treated with EC at the Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery Center in Leningrad (CPSCL) (now renamed St. Petersburg). © Springer-Verlag 2008.
