Abstract

Aberrant hepatic gluconeogenesis contributes importantly to hyperglycemia in type II diabetic patients. A study by Pei et al. (2006b) identifies NR4A orphan nuclear receptors as a novel branch of cAMP-dependent regulators of hepatic glucose production under healthy and diabetic conditions. © 2006 Elsevier Inc.
