Abstract

It is extremely difficult to evaluate the scientific production of neuroscience in Brazil from the point of view of quantitative as well as qualitative. Nowadays, there is no doubt that there have been considerable research scenery changes in Brazil, especially from the international impact. The purpose of the present study is make a provocative discussion regarding differences between vocation of true researcher and researchers associated to the industry and academy. Within the competitive environment, we believe that the vocation of the researcher should prevail but, no doubt, will suffer influence from the marketing, with repercussion on the professional decision. At present there are still scientific leaders that look for personal interests causing damage in the real potential of the future researchers.
