The title of this book is "Intelligence-Based Systems Engineering". This presents something of a challenge to systems engineers - it implies that there is a practice of systems engineering that isn't intelligence-based. Gulp! What should we call this practice? Stupidity-based systems engineering? Suck-it-and-see systems engineering? Guesswork-based systems engineering? Do-it-like-we-did-it-last-time systems engineering?. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2011.
