Awareness, attitudes towards wastewater reuse and perceptions of public health risks among the general public in Cyprus

Abstract

A questionnaire survey was performed with a national sample of 800 participants stratified by district using a two stage cluster design. Participants were systematically sampled from randomly chosen “key-locations” in urban areas (N = 16, n = 560) and door-to-door sampling of households in a random sample of rural communities (N = 10, n = 240) until a pre-set quota by gender (50: 50) and age-group (equal split between early, middle and late working-life) was reached.
