Abstract

In today's modern era the internet is very helpful for everyone's interests in carrying out their duties for both workers and students so that internet usage is very high. Therefore, the application of network infrastructure is very important to regulate the speed and needs of the internet. This research discusses about regulating or scheduling internet speed by implementing the HTB (Hirarchical Token Bucket) method on a Mikrotik network. This method works by dividing the bandwidth into several classes in the form of parent and child classes. The conclusion from this method we can divide the bandwidth stably and evenly. With the HTB method, bandwidth management can be managed properly and more efficiently because with this method the queue that is created can be more structured and neater, so the router will have a more optimal performance. By dividing the class into parent and child groups, it is a good way of dividing internet traffic so that users or clients can rotate data or information equally or it will be more structured.
