In this issue of Neuron, a study by Billings et al. points to intracellular Aβ as a possible cause of neuronal dysfunction. In a mouse model of Alzheimer's disease, Billings et al. link appearance of intraneuronal Aβ to cognitive impairments and then show that "clearance" of intraneuronal Aβ by anti-Aβ antibodies restores cognitive deficits.
