Abstract

Using non-denaturing isoelectric focusing in polyacrylamide vertical slab gel, we have purified to homogeneity three trimeric subcomplexes of LHC II from Arabidopsis thylakoid membranes. The polypeptide composition of the subcomplexes were studied by immunoblotting. Our results indicate the existence in vivo of LHC II heterotrimers containing Lhcb1, Lhcb2 and Lhcb3 gene products. © 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
