The principal objectives were to investigate the behavior of strengthened reinforced concrete elements by fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composites and analyzing of some factors, which have significant importance for load-carrying capacity of the complete structural system. A sufficient, strengthening procedure can be achieved by considering accurate bond behavior between FRP and concrete substrate and examination of factors accounting for this effect. Comprehension of performance of strengthening structures will allow for more precise designs that will balance safety and cost.
