Abstract

A lower bound on the probability P(Ai ∪ ⋯ ∪ Am) is presented, in terms of the P(Ai)'s and P(Ai ∩ Aj)'s only. A comparison is made to a similar inequality due to Dawson and Sankoff (1967).
