Abstract

Daily metabolic patterns are regulated in a circadian manner often via the hypothalamic axis. Mukherji et al. now report a surprising role for commensal bacteria in the circadian regulation of glucocorticoid production by intestinal epithelial cells. © 2013 Elsevier Inc.
