Abstract

The author discusses the need for Africa to become the political priority of the global health as the World Health Organization (WHO) is planning to select the successor of Margaret Chan as director-general. The author says that Africa has solved the challenges of health security based on the result of WHO's annual Regional Committee for Africa. He adds that Africa should be represented around the world through credible political and technical leadership.
