Abstract

The collections of mn -by-n matrices over a field such that the products in any of the m ! orders share a common similarity class (resp. spectrum, trace) are studied. The spectral and trace order invariant properties are characterized and the similarity invariant one is related to them in several cases. A complete explicit description is given in case m = 3 and n = 2. © 2009 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
