Abstract

Dr. Wagner, President of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry maintains that the presidential initiative is to increase awareness of and screening for depression in children and adolescents. The multipronged approach involves education, expansion of the Depression Resource Center, and collaboration with professional organizations and government agencies.
