Abstract

Although the presence of maxillary first premolar with two root canals is more common, other anatomic deviations, as one or three canals, have also been reported. A correct understanding of these morphologies, a correct radiographic analysis and the use of magnification devices will help to achieve higher success on these cases. The aim of this paper is, presenting a series of clinical cases, to contribute to a better knowledge and approach to these clinical conditions. © 2011 Sociedade Portuguesa de Estomatologia e Medicina Dentária.
