Abstract

Two recent studies published in Nature (Baek et al. 2008; Selbach et al., 2008) analyze changes in the proteome in response to individual microRNAs (miRNAs). This approach is a powerful means to identify miRNA targets and to quantify the contribution of translational repression to posttranscriptional gene silencing by miRNAs. © 2008 Elsevier Inc.
