Abstract

Adipose tissue around lymph nodes is usually removed prior to the study of immune activity-but is it time to reconsider this practice? Perinodal adipose tissue may provide not only a specific lipid resource but also fatty acids, dendritic cells, and soluble mediators that modulate local immunity. © 2008 Elsevier Inc.
