Abstract

Evolutionary biologists have long recognized that the sterility and inviability of species hybrids must involve incompatible epistatic interactions between two (or more) genes. The first pair of such hybrid incompatibility genes has now been identified. © 2007 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
