Abstract

The digital mine not only can improve work efficiency and reduce cost, but also upgrade the safety of mine. The control technologies cooperating with dynamic actual work conditions of mine can promote development of digital mine and increase ability to prevent and fight the disasters of mine. For the complexity of the climate and ventilation network of mine, the ventilation system of mine is the high-order nonlinear systems. Therefore, to study the theory of nonlinear controlling airflow of mine has theoretical and factual significance. This paper employs the basic conception and method of control theory to construct the physical model of airflow control system of mine and derives its nonlinear dynamic equations. Then this nonlinear state equation is linearized by the Taylor Series method. An appropriate controller is designed for the linear state equation with the theory of H ∞ optimal control. It shows that it is possible to control the airflow of nonlinear ventilation system of mine through linearizing and designing the controller. The result of theory study can provide the reference for the simulation and application of control technologies in mine. © 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
