We ask for a more context sensitive view on innovative activities. In particular, we address service matters which are still largely ignored by the innovation research community. Second, we are interested in service innovation in the context of hybrid value creation as firms shift their focus from offering standalone products or services towards offering integrated solutions of products and services to meet specific demands of customers.
