Support open access to publicly-funded research:
Cancer Immunity
We are pleased to announce our plans for the relaunch of Cancer Immunity, the online, open-access journal of the Cancer Research Institute. Over the coming months, we will be substantially modernizing the journal, including a new look, a redesigned website, and a streamlined journal management system, and will be expanding the journal’s Editorial Board to represent more broadly CRI’s many programs and constituencies. In parallel, we are preparing a special relaunch issue dedicated to Dr. Lloyd Old, who founded Cancer Immunity in 2001, which is scheduled for publication on May 1, 2012. The issue will feature a collection of personal reflections by some of Dr. Old’s closest collaborators, reflecting on Dr. Old and his work at different points throughout his career. Also included in the issue will be a set of scientific commentaries on the topic of antibodies in cancer treatment. For more information about the relaunch issue, please see the announcement at

Jurn: search engine for open access journals

JURN is meant primarily as an index of English-language open access ejournals. Non-English journals are also indexed, although not in a comprehensive manner. The majority of journals or magazines indexed are “open access” or largely “full-text” - but JURN also indexes those that offer significant free full-text content (e.g.: all of their book reviews, or some of their older archives), without the need for registration or other barriers. Newsletters are indexed only if they have substantial articles, conference reports and/or book reviews. Journals offering only tables-of-contents and/or abstracts are not indexed by JURN.
