Antibody class switch recombination: Roles for switch sequences and mismatch repair proteins

Abstract

Mechanisms and targeting of antibody class switch DNA recombination are reviewed. Particular emphasis is on the roles for the DNA sequences comprising switch (S) regions, including the S-region tandem repeats, and on the roles of proteins that are involved in both DNA mismatch repair and in class switch recombination. © 2005 Elsevier Inc.
