Abstract

It is shown that the atom-field interaction, in the context of the Jaynes-Cummings model, leads periodically to a Schmidt decomposition of the atom-field state at times within the first collapse region. For some initial average photon number maximally entangled atom-field state are generated. © 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
