Abstract

The lithostratigraphy of the Bracklesham Beds (Eocene) of Bracklesham Bay and Selsey on the English South Coast is redescribed and maps of the foreshore exposures are given. The Bracklesham Beds, based on the type section at Whitecliff Bay (I.O.W.) are redefined as a Group comprising four divisions. A correlation between Bracklesham Bay and Whitecliff Bay is presented. © 1977, The Geologists' Association. All rights reserved.
