The isolation, chemical composition and some physical properties of inhibitors of proteinases A, B and carboxypeptidase Y were described. These inhibitors are relatively small proteins. Their specificity and subcellular localization and possible physiological function are discussed in the light of intracellular regulation of protein turnover. © 1975.
