Abstract

The Cluster Variation Method (CVM) in its recent formulation using the Moebius inversion is utilized to investigate the critical properties of the Blume-Emery-Griffiths model. We consider as the basic cluster an nn pair. Particular attention is devoted to the reentrant phenomenon. © 1992.
