Abstract
A device based on a combined NaI(Tl)+LiI(Eu) detection system for environmental monitoring, geological neutron logging, as well as security (explosives detection) applications is presented. It allows the user to simultaneously obtain both a gamma amplitude spectrum, as well as the time distribution of the moment of detection of thermal neutrons. © 2007 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
