A comment on "on the distribution of Ma and King"

Abstract

Nadarajah [Saralees Nadarajah, On the distribution of Ma and King, Applied Mathematics and Computation 189 (2007) 732-733] commented the expressions which the author and King had derived for the n-fold convolution of generalized exponential-sum distribution functions. Nadarajah claimed having provided "much simpler expressions and much shorter derivations for the same." In this comment, the author demonstrates that both Nadarajah's expressions and derivations are incorrect, and his expressions are not the same as ours. © 2011 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
