Abstract

Decoherence of nonclassicality and entanglement is investigated in the linear dissipative processes which are caused by transient environments, where a quantum state of the environment evolves from a given initial state into a equilibrium state. The results show that the trade-off between the non-Markovian effect and the thermal effect of the environment plays an important role in the decoherence of nonclassicality and entanglement. © 2006 Elsevier B.V.
