The density dependent growth was investigated for sole. The Von Bertalanffy equation was adopted with constant coefficient K of catabolism. Two techniques were used, one based on the integrated expression lt= L∞(l-e-K (t-t0)) where density dependence is referred to L∞. The other technique analyzes the incremental expression dw dt = h1w 2 3 - kwnwith n = 1 and n = 5 6. No relation between stock density and growth could be demonstrated. © 1972.
