Abstract

The toxicological analysis of 12 common organophosphorus insecticides is described. Suitable methods for the extraction of organophosphorus insecticides from tissues are proposed. The detection, identification and estimation of these insecticides by thin-layer chromatography is described for 25 solvent systems and a series of chromogenic reagents. The distribution of insecticides in human body tissues in five cases of poisoning by ethyl parathion, malathion, dimethoate, sumithion and phosphamidon has also been studied. © 1977.
