Abstract

We present a solution of, a one-dimensional heat conduction equation for a solid body consisting of three parts. The exterior parts possess identical thermal properties. The thermal properties of the inner part differ from the outer ones. The temperature field is created by a planar heat source located between one outer and one inner part. This solution can be used in measurements of thermal properties of an inner body by the pulse transient method assuming that the thermal properties of outer bodies are known. © 2008 Elsevier Masson SAS.
