Abstract

1. 1. The glycosaminoglycans in the three stages of development of Ceratitis capitata were studied. 2. 2. With development the content of hyaluronic acid and chondroitin or very low sulphated chondroitin decreased, while that of chondroitin sulphate increased. 3. 3. Heparan sulphate was found only in larvae and pupae. 4. 4. Keratan sulphate and heparin were identified only in flies. © 1985.
